About the Arts Guide

The Arts Guide, a multi-media CD-Rom Guide to all arts organizations on campus, started in 2005 as a project spear-headed by SOCA and the Stanford Institute for Creativity and the Arts (SiCa). 5,500 copies of the Guide are printed each spring and distributed to all incoming prospective freshmen, as well as visitors and the campus community.

In the Arts Guide, you will find an introduction video to the arts at Stanford, videos and text on all 90 arts-related students organizations as well as all arts departments and programs at the university.

SOCA is responsible for updating the information each winter before the Guide gets mass produced. This gives SOCA a unique chance to be in touch with all the other arts-related organizations on campus, and helps to build community and serve the diverse community of artists and arts-organizers at Stanford.
